Overview

A logged-in user can make use of ebTax.

Pre-Requisite

A user must be registered as an ebTax user and have an active ebTax account to be able to log into ebTax. An active user has access to 'Login'.

Step-By-Step Guide

  1. Open a browser (Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, or Safari) 
  2. Navigate to the ebTax client portal (www.ebtax.co.za).
  3. Select My Account and Login.
  4. The login screen will appear.
  5. Capture your own credentials.
    1. Email Address: The email address with which your accounts was registered and select "Next".
      1. If your company makes use of Active Directive integration and your domain has been indicated as an AD domain, the user will be presented with a Microsoft Single Sign On window. Input your active directory password.
        1. If you fail to log in, you need to contact your IT department so that they can ensure your user has been configured correctly for ebTax login and is active.
      2. If your company does not make use of Active Directive integration, input your ebTax password - the password that you have chosen for your account. (This is not known by ebTax)
        1. Select 'Login' to log into ebTax.
  6. Once you have successfully logged in the 'Home' page will be displayed and you can start using ebTax.


Error Resolution

  • Microsoft account login problems
    • If you are experiencing an Oops screen after you have logged in using your Microsoft account, please ensure that you are connecting from an IP that has been pre-authorised by your company. You can confirm your IP address by following this link.
    • If you are receiving an error pertaining to your IP address (1.1.1.1) on the login page,  please contact support@ebtax.co.za to ensure the IP address is added to your company's IP whitelist.
    • If you are receiving an error pertaining to your groups on the login page, please confirm with your IT team that the correct groups have been allocated to your user in Active Directory. Please also ensure that no duplicate groups exist and has been assigned to your user.
    • If you are receiving an error pertaining to 'SSO', please ask your IT team to contact support@ebtax.co.za to assist in the configuration of your Active Directory login.
  • Normal login (Not Microsoft account login) problems:

    • If you are receiving an error that the username and/or password is incorrect/invalid, please ensure you are registered and have provided the correct credentials when attempting to log in.
